Blessed to be a Blessing

Philosophy of Ministry

Prelude

“I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy. I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.  And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.

 John 17:13-19

Calling

I, Justin Bradley; called as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ pledge my life to service in Christian ministry to fulfill God’s purposes of spreading the message and ministry of the Word and the edification of the Body of Christ.  I pray that God will fulfill his mission through the power of the Spirit, in the Name of the Son, and to the Glory of the Father in my life and in those I serve alongside of.  The goal is the advancement of the Kingdom; the means is giving myself to all so they can best accomplish God’s calling on their lives.

Core Values

I value accurate Biblical teaching that points to Jesus (Acts 17:3)

  • I strive to balance grace and truth so seekers find him and believers mature in him.

I value excellence in everything I do, because it gives God glory (Colossians 3:23)

  • God deserves the best, his people deserve the best. I work hard to honor him.

I value every member ministry and the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:5,9)

  • The responsibility of a pastor is to equip others. Members should be equipped to carry out their calling.

I value the scriptural model of making disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • Leadership development is intentional; Jesus did it, so I will too.

I value family first and believe that a healthy family leads to healthy ministry (1 Timothy 5:8)

  • Society and The Church have an unhealthy view of work above all else. I will value family.
